1956 - 2010
Julio Delgado Dominguez, 53, of Guadalupe peacefully passed away at his home, January 13, 2010.
Julio was born June 11, 1956 to Robert and Sylvia (Delgado) Dominguez in Pacoima, California.
He began school in the Guadalupe Union School District and successfully graduated from Righetti High School in 1974.
Julio began his cooking career early in life at The Office Restaurant in Santa Maria. There he enjoyed cooking, working, and having fun with his co-workers; Ed and Mary Funkhouser. He continued his passion for cooking for many years at various restaurants, including Casa de Lopez; and most recently used his talents working in other industries.
In his spare time, Julio enjoyed bowling, cooking, gatherings, music and spending time with family and friends.
Julio will most be remembered for his generosity to others and his great love for cooking and enjoying meals with friends and family. Our Julio was never short on words when sharing his "secret recipes".
He is survived by brothers; Greg, Benny (Marianna), Tim, Albert (Alice), and Tony. He also survived by his sisters; Barbara Dominguez, Maria Penrod (Jay) and Diana Gonzales (Eric). He also leaves behind many grieving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Julio is preceded in death by his parents Robert and Sylvia and brothers; Robert aka:"Bear" and Gilbert.
A graveside service and burial will be held on Friday, January 29th at 2:30pm at the Guadalupe Cemetery. For more information the family can be reached at 805-343-2685.

I will always remember you from grade school in Guadalupe. Back then I was very timid but the way you smiled always made me feel less insecure. I will always remember your warm smile and sparkly eyes. Even though years passed and we met again after 30 years, you had not changed at all were still the same as when we were in 8th grade. I have often thought of you in the past year and your smile always came to mind. I don't know why I always prayed for you every time I thought of you. You are with God now. God Bless you. To Julio's Family, I am so sorry that Julio has gone. You were blessed to have had for the time you did.

Julio you were one and million and the toughest, hardworking man I ever met. I know I only knew through how you worked but your hard work showed me who you are, a strong willed,minded man. You also thought me that you should work hard no matter what age you are. Thank you for being you and never change for any one or anything, you were a real person and you keeping it real was who you were/are. My condolences to your family and may you sleep with the Angel's and Rest In Peace. All of us here at Labor Ready will miss you.....

I used to manage Petrini's Italian here is Sm and Julio was our head cook... he was such a happy soul and always made working any shift better... he was always laughing and smiling and joking and just an all around great guy. I will miss his friendly smile and his amazing cooking. The world lost a good man and heaven just gained an amazing angel. My condolences and love to the family.
