Maria Robles Garcia (Lola) of Santa Maria passed away on June 11, 2022. She was surrounded by her loved ones. Maria was born on April 3, 1957, in Zacatecas, Mexico. She moved to the United States in 1973 to join her parents Lazaro Robles and Manuela Robles. She later got married in 1974 with her then husband Juan Garcia and raised their only child Rameses Garcia.
Maria is survived by her son Rameses Garcia from Bakersfield, and his wife Lulu and their children, Lily, and Kiki. Her surviving brothers and sisters are Estanislado (Tanis) Robles from Los Angeles, Valentine Robles from Santa Maria, Maria Uribe from Santa Maria, Rafaela Fernandez from Aurora, Illinois, and Maria Quintanilla Robles from Aurora, Illinois. She has numerous nieces and nephews in Santa Maria and throughout California.
She is preceded in death by her parents Lazaro and Manuela Robles, brothers Felimon Robles from Santa Paula, Inez Robles from Zacatecas, Mexico, her beloved sisters Ludivina Avila from Santa Maria and Elisa Cabral from Whitter, California, and her nephew Richard Uribe from Santa Maria, California.
Maria (Lola) will always be remembered for her kindness and generosity. She loved to cook for her family and friends especially her yummy tortillas. Maria (Lola) loved to spend her time playing at the Casino with her niece Yolandia Robles and visiting her son in Bakersfield.
Throughout her life she touched many lives and made many close friends. She was loved and will be missed by her family and friends.
