Mason Swearingen Obituary
Mason Kyle Swearingen passed away suddenly April 4, 2011. He was born December 5, 1988 in Santa Maria, Ca where he lived all his life. Mason attended local schools such as St. Mary's, Pacific Christian and Righetti High School. He will truly be missed by all that knew and loved him.
Mason is survived by his brother Casey Sartain and wife Brynne, nephew Conner Sartain of Santa Maria, California, Grandmother Joyce Cummings of San Antonio, Texas, Aunt Kelly Lynn Loy and Uncle John Loy of Cordova, Tennessee and SPC Steven Delmar Funsch of Ft. Benning, Georgia, Uncle Donald Atkinson, Uncle Steve Swearingen and wife Becky and cousin Breck Atkinson and wife Trish.
He is preceded in death by his parents Charles Swearingen and Avis Jean Cummings, grandparents William and Dorothy Swearingen all of Santa Maria, California and Ernest "Casey" Cummings of San Antonio, Texas.
A memorial service for Mason and Dottie will be held at First Christian Church, 1550 S. College Drive, Santa Maria, California on Thursday, May 5, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. with private inurnment at another date.
The family would like to give a special thanks to Debbie Collins for all her help and support during this time.
Don't think of him as gone away, his journey's just begun, life holds so many facets this earth is only one…. Just think of him as resting from the sorrows and the tears in a place of warmth and comfort where there are no days and years. Think how he must be wishing that we could know today how nothing but our sadness can really pass away. And think of him as living in the hearts of those he touched, for nothing loved is ever lost, and he was loved so much.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Mason's name to the Polished Pet for rescue dogs, 3850 S US Highway 101 Santa Maria, CA 93455-2237.
Arrangements are under the direction of Dudley-Hoffman Mortuary, Crematory and Memory Gardens.
