I am very sad to learn of Phil's passing. I worked for Phil in Houston, Korea and Angola. Phil was a mentor and friend, a man of integrity who set an example for all those he worked with. My condolences to his family and many friends and colleagues. God Bless.

Our deepest condolences to the Phil Files family. We worked with Phil at the Exxon Las Flores Canyon, SYU facility. He truly was a great guy to work with. He was extremely diligent, conscientious, and professional in every assignment or position he worked. He loved his wife and family very much, and he loved God. We are sad to hear of his passing. We will keep his family in our thoughts and prayers. God Bless them.

Phil was wonderful leader at Exxon and an example of a hard working guy. It was a pleasure to know him.

Phil was a wonderful friend to the neighborhood stray cats. He would trap them, have them neutered, then return them to the neighborhood where he fed them and offered them a safe shelter at night. We will miss hearing him call the cats to dinner. The cats and the neighbors are grieving the loss of this fine man.
