Howell - Sean Michael Thompson, 46, of Howell, MI had his life tragically cut short on Friday, June 28, 2024. Sean was born September 5, 1977 at Vandenberg Air Force Base in Lompoc, CA to Thomas Thompson and Donna (Johantgen) Ikola and grew up in Orcutt, California.

During his short life Sean traveled the world, flat or not, from California, England, New Mexico, Arizona, Oregon, Costa Rica and finally settling down in Michigan. Sean made a successful career as a professional tattoo artist, a path that allowed him to travel and share his passion for art with countless others. Many of you reading this carry Sean's artwork on your bodies. Beyond his artistic endeavors, Sean had an insatiable love for life. He found joy in traveling, working out, music, disc golfing, darts, billiards, golfing, fishing, playing chess, and most of all spending time with his cherished dog, Princess Cocoa Bean.

A man with a profound spiritual side, Sean practiced daily meditation, breathwork, and immersed himself in reading books that elevated his spiritual awareness. His positive impact on the lives of those around him will be remembered and deeply missed.

Sean is survived by his father Thomas (wife Alma), his mother Donna (husband Robert), his son Isaiah (wife Jillian), stepson Ezra, his brothers Greg (wife Maren), J (wife Kathryn) Jonathan (wife Kaylee), his grandma Irene, grandma Mary Jane and his life coach/sister-in-spirt Linda Durant, second mom Brenda (Durant) Pearlman, plus many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Sean is preceded in death by his grandparents Carol Nole, Robert Johantgen, Mary & Jay Thompson, Roger Ikola, Aunt Theresa Johantgen and life partner Elizabeth (Beth) Harvey.

As he would have wanted, Sean's ashes will be spread in some of his favorite spots, including California and northern Michigan where he will be once again with Beth. Sean's vibrant spirit and the love he shared with others will remain in our hearts forever. May he now find the inner peace he always wanted.

A celebration of life will be held in his honor on August 17, 2024, in both Howell, MI at Thompson Lake at 4:00 p.m., and in Orcutt, CA at Waller Park at 1:00 p.m.
