1924 - 2009
Thomas J. Carr, 85, of Santa Maria, passed away Thursday, July 16, 2009 at a local care facility.
Thomas was born on February 5, 1924 in Pittsburgh, PA to John and Anne (Butler) Carr. He was raised and educated in Pittsburg and joined the United States Army in 1943. Thomas moved to California in 1980 and made Santa Maria his home in 1997.
Thomas is survived by his wife of nearly 62 years, Bernice; children, Tom and Jane; four grandchildren and eight grandchildren.
Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 21, 2009 in the Chapel of Magner-Maloney Funeral Home with Rev. Msgr. James Colberg officiating. Private interment will be at a later date.
Arrangements are in the care of Magner-Maloney Funeral Home and Crematory. Sympathy notes and words of support may be expressed at www.magnermaloney.com.
