Trishawna Quarles Obituary

Trishawna Wendy Quarles
Trishawna Wendy Quarles was born August 1, 1977 in San Luis Obispo, CA to Barbara Farley-Williams and Arthur L. Farley.
Trishawna was the beloved wife of Aaron Samon Quarles. Having known each other since elementary school, the love-struck couple was joined in holy matrimony on June 2, 2001.
Despite health challenges, Trishawna graduated from Cal Poly State University with a Single Subject Teaching Credential and Bachelor of Arts degree in English. She fulfilled her lifelong dream by working as an English teacher at Santa Maria High School. She was highly regarded by her students, fellow teachers, and administrators and was heralded for both inspiring her students and increasing their levels of expectation. Trishawna also took an interest in her students outside of the classroom and served as an advisor to the Step Team and Black Student Union.
Trishawna received Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at the age of 7 and served in her local church. Even from a young age, she was a person of sound principles, high moral values, and dignity. Trishawna touched the lives of many and will be greatly missed.
Trishawna departed this life on Friday, September 16, 2011 at the age of 34. She was preceded in death by her brother, Jeremy Wright and leaves to cherish her memory the following: husband, Aaron Quarles and their son, Dorian Quarles of Nipomo, CA; mother, Barbara Farley-Williams of San Luis Obispo, CA; father, Arthur L. Farley; step-father, Donald Williams; step-mother, Dorothy Farley; 2 brothers: James Farley of Tulare, CA and Raymond Williams of San Luis Obispo, CA; 5 sisters: Toni Matthews of Lakewood, WA, Tracee Baxter of Honolulu, HI, Lakisha Bradley of San Luis Obispo, CA, Lisha Haiola of Hinesville, GA, and Natasha Farley of Tulare, CA; 2 aunts, VerGena Robinson of San Pablo, CA and Joanne Jackson of Washington as well as a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
A memorial service will take place on Saturday, September 24, 2011 at 11am at Agape Christian Fellowship in San Luis Obispo. The address is: 950 Laureate Lane, San Luis Obispo, CA 93405. www.agapeslo.org.

Dear Quarles Family, you do not know me, but my heart and prayers go out to all of you. To Aaron, Trishawna left you with the greatest gift of love she could give you. Baby Dorian is beautiful, and even though I have never met you I get a sense you are a very strong man, and going to be a wonderful father to your baby boy. Dorian is a lucky little guy to have been born into your family. Even though this is a difficult time remember, God doesn't give you any more than you can handle! Diane

I am deeply sadden to hear about our Saints colleague. Trishawna was a great teacher! She was an inspiration to her students and to all the young ladies on the Saints Step Team. I always admired Trishawna's strength, courage and positive spirit. And despite all the challenges she faced, she always gave her students 100%. God bless you, Aaron and baby Dorian. Trishawna will always be in our hearts and will be greatly missed. You will be Saint forever.

Keeping Shawna's many family and friends in my prayers. She was a wonderful, talented, gracious woman who went above and beyond the call. She was so excited to be a Mom and loved her husband, Aaron, so much. She made all our lives richer and I will treasure the times I was fortunate enough to work with her. Thank you Shawna
