I had Mr. Manz as Social Studies teacher. He allowed his classes to discuss politics while still following the curriculum. He made people think while staying neutral. Years later, I contacted him in CA and met up with him, his wife and daughters for dinner in Saratoga. We continued letter writing about politics and world events. By then, I called him Andy and we had some lively written discussions where he included news and magazine articles. Rest in peace, Andy! You don't realize what an influence you were. Condolences to Gwen and his daughters.

I had Mr. Manz as my History teacher. He had a true passion for teaching, and for his students. I was also friends with Eileen. My thoughts are with the family. "Blessed are they that mourn, for they shall be comforted." Matthew 5:4 KJV
