Clifford Curtis Colvin, Jr., 63, of Mechanicville, sadly lost his battle with lung cancer on October 2, 2023. He was born on March 16, 1960, to Clifford Colvin Sr and Mary Colvin.Clifford, known for his prideful and humorous nature, lived life to the fullest. His carefree spirit and childlike mentality endeared him to those around him. He is survived by his loving wife Nigeria Colvin and their devoted son, Clifford Curtis Colvin lll, his children with Margaret Shultes: Curtis Colvin, Leah Colvin and her daughter Claudia Colvin, as well as his siblings John Colvin, Kenneth Colvin, Richard Lavigna, Jane Lavigna, and Angel Tudor.From a young age, Clifford worked hard and demonstrated his versatility. Starting with setting up tents, he eventually found his true calling in the roofing industry. With limited education, he became a jack of all trades, specializing in slate roofing. His excellent services were sought after from Florida to Vermont.Clifford was an avid music lover and fisherman. He enjoyed working on machinery and had a knack for fixing broken things, from cars to stereo radios. He had a compassionate heart and would never pass by someone in need without stopping to help. He even halted traffic many times to assist his favorite animal, a turtle, in crossing the street.Clifford will be remembered for his zest for life. His funeral service will be held on November 4, 2023, at 11:00 am at 100 Crescent St, Saratoga Springs, NY 12866.In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to a GoFundMe page set up in Clifford's honor at https://gofund.me/76fdfd5f.
