Joan Mae Warren WILTON - Joan Mae Warren, 81, of Wilton, passed away suddenly on Thursday September 22, 2016. Born on May 13th 1935 in Amsterdam NY, she was the daughter of the late Raymund Guzielek and Mary Alibozek Guzielek. Joan moved to the Saratoga Springs area in 1994 from Amsterdam New York, where she had spent most of her life. She worked at several companies in Amsterdam, such as Mohasco Mills and later as the switchboard operator at Amsterdam Memorial Hospital. Upon moving to Saratoga Springs New York in 1994 she was employed as a switchboard operator at Saratoga Springs Hospital until her retirement in 2012. Joan volunteered at the Saratoga Hospital for many years and was also a member of St. Clement’s Church in Saratoga Springs. What defined Joan and her life was her great love for her family, especially her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Nothing mattered more to her than spending time with the people she loved and her family will miss her greatly. She is survived by two daughters, Debra Cechnicki and her husband Edmund of Amsterdam, NY, Cheryl Lathers and her husband Kim of Fort Plain, NY, one son, Daniel Warren and his wife Tanya of Wilton,NY, a sister, Alice Pomykaj of Amsterdam, NY, eight grandchildren, Theresa (Rob) House, Jared Cechnicki Fiancé Heidi Ferrell, Leo (Dana) Cechnicki, Jeremy, Justin and Jocelyn Lathers and Hayden and Chase Warren, four great grandchildren, Austin Lathers, Brianne and Jacqueline House and Theo Cechnicki, a niece Barbara Facey (Stephen) and a great nephew Erin Facey and several cousins. Family and friends may visit 2 to 4pm and 6 to 8pm on Sunday September 25th at the Tunison Funeral Home, 105 Lake Avenue, Saratoga Springs, New York 12866. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday at 10 a.m. at St. Clement’s Church Saratoga Springs, NY. Burial will follow in her family plot at St. Stanislaus Cemetery in Amsterdam, NY.
