We moved into our first home next door a couple years ago. Nick and Amy were the first neighbors we met and we were happy to have such nice people living across the yard. Nick and I quickly established a neighborly relationship, borrowing tools (I borrowed his tools), talking about the crazy next door neighbors, and our families. You could tell how proud he was of his kids the way he was always excited to tell me how well they were doing in sports or school and always asked how my family was doing. My 3 y/o daughter can´t go 50 feet from their house without asking "is Nick home?" and was always happy to see him whenever he walked across the lawn to say hello. I wish I had more time to have him give me lawn tips and talk about our house projects. I was happy to know him for the short time I did, and can only imagine how much he will be missed by those who knew him best. My deepest condolences to his family and friends. I´ll always remember my favorite neighbor.

I was one of the lucky ones to know Nick. I met him in 7th grade walking the halls of Timothy Edwards. There he was becoming a friend for life! We share many memories... oh that Camaro! The wires... the family conversations at the kitchen table and sunroom. Nick was always there for me. Even on his car rides to his treatments when we talked and I wanted to talk about my problems he would listen, he didn´t make it all about himself, he truly cared about his friends and family. Our family was fortunate to have Austin stay with us last summer and quickly became part of our family. We are fortunate for that gift! There aren´t enough words to express the loss. Friends forever, I love you! RIP and I miss you.

My family and the Georgeadis' have been family not by blood, but by a beautiful friendship started well over 55 years ago when I was a baby. I remember Nick and his sister Maria as babies, was their first babysitter and watched them grow up and have their own families. It has been an honor to have known Nick, or Nicky as I called him, and my heart is breaking for his dad Alex, sister Maria, wife Amy and his children - and all who knew and loved this great man. Thank you for your relentless service to your state and your country Nick - we are all better for having known you. Thank you also to your NYSP family who will undoubtedly remain faithful to and watch over your wife and children in the coming days and years. Sleep sweet Nicky in the arms of your incredible mom Sylvia - you are together again. Much love.

I love my dad so very much, and feel so grateful to have been his daughter. He always helped me with sports like softball and field hockey, and encouraged me to do whatever I wanted to do. He is the reason I am so competitive and I will truly miss the times we spent playing backyard games against each other, neither of us backing down to the other. It was always so fun to have someone who will put in just as much effort into games like pool basketball Or can-jam as you do. And I will never forget the times of playing football with him and my brothers in the back yard. I miss him so much, Rip dad.

A grateful citizen, mom & grandma.

Although I didn´t go to school with Nick at SWHS I did go to school with Maria and know the family is the cream of the crop. I always looked at Nick as intimidating because of his size but he was a teddy bear full of love for his sister and family. It certainly sounds like he has made an everlasting impression on sooooo many and made the world a better place. What an obituary. My thoughts go out to the family and friends of Nick.

I was one of the lucky ones to have met Nick. It was when he was a new trooper. My father was one of the few volunteer policemen in nys with actual police powers so I always took time to speak to our peace keepers. Nick and I shared a great conversation that day, one that allowed his name and memory to remain some 25+ years later. I wish that I could relieve the sadness you all are feeling. Having just gone through the passing of my own father in January from cancer as well, I can with certainty say that the joy that Nick´s personality brought to all that crossed paths with him will continue to bring them happiness and keep his memory alive, and knowing that will help you as it does me. His will to live will carry on in all of you. May g-d bless you all, always.

I am deeply saddened to hear of Nick´s passing. Nick was always a great friend to me. When I first moved to South Windsor, I remember being so scared and shy. Nick and I lived near each other and rode the same bus. That is when he came up to me introduced himself and since that day on, Nick and I became very close friends. We have so many fun memories together and lots of pictures of us to remember him by. I will always cherish our friendship and memories and keep them forever close to my heart.
My deepest condolences go out to his father, who we called Mr. G, Maria, Amy and all of his family and friends.
I wish you all peace and comfort during this most difficult time. Love you Nick. May you rest in peace.
