We moved into our first home next door a couple years ago. Nick and Amy were the first neighbors we met and we were happy to have such nice people living across the yard. Nick and I quickly established a neighborly relationship, borrowing tools (I borrowed his tools), talking about the crazy next door neighbors, and our families. You could tell how proud he was of his kids the way he was always excited to tell me how well they were doing in sports or school and always asked how my family was...

I was one of the lucky ones to know Nick. I met him in 7th grade walking the halls of Timothy Edwards. There he was becoming a friend for life! We share many memories... oh that Camaro! The wires... the family conversations at the kitchen table and sunroom. Nick was always there for me. Even on his car rides to his treatments when we talked and I wanted to talk about my problems he would listen, he didn´t make it all about himself, he truly cared about his friends and family. My family and the Georgeadis' have been family not by blood, but by a beautiful friendship started well over 55 years ago when I was a baby. I remember Nick and his sister Maria as babies, was their first babysitter and watched them grow up and have their own families. It has been an honor to have known Nick, or Nicky as I called him, and my heart is breaking for his dad Alex, sister Maria, wife Amy and his children - and all who knew and loved this great man.
