Our oldest daughter, Samantha, was a couple of years behind Nick, and had Renee as a teacher at Holy Trinity. While there are no words to express the overwhelming sadness brought by Nick's tragic and much too early departure, please know that he is remembered fondly and left a positive and lasting impression on the many people he encountered in his life. We've never met but our daughter knew Kappy through AZO. She attends The University of Toledo and she had met him several times and they were friends even though they attended different schools, he was one of her AZO brothers. Caity says he always had a smile on his face and was so friendly and welcoming to the Toledo chapter when they came to visit. We grieve for you and your family and ask God to wrap his arms around you and give you peace and comfort. We are praying for you in this very difficult time.

To Nick's family , our son Nick Wadina called Nick his best friend. He loved hanging out with your Nick. He was thrilled when Nick invited him to visit in St. Louis and had his train ticket paid for! The fondest memory we have was when Nick came over to our house Dec 20,2013 and the 2 Nick's and their friend Lauren all made Christmas cookies together! That is a picture in our photo album we will cherish forever . God bless your family in your time of sorrow.

I didn't know Nick personally, but I'd like to think there is some bond between us, from us both being from the Waukesha County. From all the stories I've read from fellow students here at STLCOP, he seemed like an amazing young man, and I regret not getting to know him.
