Ronald Taylor Obituary
Born Aug. 5, 1941, in Providence, R.I., he was the son of the late Harold and Gertrude Taylor.
He was an Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War.
Ron worked for the Watervliet Arsenal for 32 years, retiring in 1995.
After his retirement, he delivered flowers for Briarwood Florist in Ballston Spa for many years.
He was a New England Patriots fan and enjoyed watching NASCAR.
His greatest joy was spending time with his family.
He was predeceased by his brothers, Harold, James, Lester and Wilbur.
Ron is survived by his wife of 50 years, Beverly; his daughters, Susan Chaplain of Greenfield, Kimberley Davis (John) of Ballston Spa and Robin Davis of Ballston Spa; his grandchildren, Brandon August, Matthew August, Ashley Taylor, Morgan Davis and Lexi Davis; his step-grandchildren, Jessica Staulters, Jennifer Davis and Jack Davis; his great-granddaughter, Savannah Mallory; his brother-in-law, Raymond Nickerson of Charlestown, R.I.; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, May 30, 2013, at Armer Funeral Home Inc., 39 E. High St., Ballston Spa. Burial will follow at Gerald B.H. Solomon-Saratoga National Cemetery on Duell Road in Schuylerville.
Relatives and friends are invited to call from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 29, at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
