Shawn P. McKenna SARATOGA SPRINGS - Shawn P. McKenna, 41, a resident of Saratoga Springs, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, March 23, 2017 at his home. Born August 20, 1975 in Hudson, NY he was the son of Judith McKenna of Saratoga Springs and the late Robert McKenna. Shawn attended Schuylerville Central Schools and was a graduate of Saratoga Springs High School. He graduated from MMI in Daytona Florida, and has been employed as a Mason through Bricklayers & Allied Craftworkers Local #2 in Albany. He was a member of AMA and CNYMRA District #3. He was an avid Motocross racer for over 20 years and loved snowmobiling and was recently racing Snocross. His other passion was fishing. Shawn was predeceased by his father as well as his brother, Lance McKenna. In addition to his mother, survivors include 2 sisters, Debbie McKenna (Victor Walrath) of Johnsonville and Sandy Thompson (Drew Thompson) of Broadalbin; his special love, Shelly Finch of Broadalbin; nieces Kayla and Courtney; nephew, Garrett; his fur brother Yogi; aunts, uncles, several cousins and many friends throughout the country including entire motocross family. Friends may call on Wednesday at Flynn Bros. Inc. Funeral Home, 13 Gates Ave., Schuylerville, NY from 5-7pm. A brief service will follow immediately and all are welcome to stay.
