Stanley Stasheski Obituary

SELINSGROVE — Stanley S. "Stan" Stasheski, 58, of Calvett Place, passed away at 4:10 p.m. Monday, Oct. 30, 2006, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.

He was born July 11, 1948, in Shamokin, a son of the late Stanley A. and Dorothy Rose (Persavage) Stasheski. He and the former Susan E. Keller were married Dec. 1, 1975. She preceded him in death May 15, 2004.

He attended St. Anthony's Parochial School in Ranshaw, was a 1966 graduate of Our Lady of Lourdes Regional High School, Coal Township, and earned a bachelor's degree in physical education from Penn State University.

Mr. Stasheski worked for many years in administration at the Selinsgrove Center, before retiring in 2002.

He was a member of the Brady Fire Company, Ranshaw, was an avid Penn State football fan, and enjoyed coin collecting and spending time with this three grandchildren.

Surviving are one son, Anthony Robert Stasheski of Selinsgrove; one daughter and her companion, Cinda Elizabeth Stasheski and Chris Stonbraker of Selinsgrove; three grandchildren, Jeanetta, Sadie Mae and Quintin; one brother and sister-in-law, Curtis and Kathy Stasheski of Graceton; one sister and brother-in-law, Sandra and Larry Alchesky of Tracy, Calif.; nieces and nephews, Dorie Wheatley of Williamstown, Vt., Stephen Stasheski of Boston, Gary Lorenz of Trevorton, and Nathan and Angela Alchesky of Tracy; four great-nieces and nephews; and his stepmother, Patricia Stasheski of Kulpmont.

A graveside service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Pomfret Manor Cemetery, Sunbury, by the Rev. Ted Keating.

Arrangements are under the direction of the V.L. Seebold, 601 N. High St., Selinsgrove.
