Donald Haskamp Obituary

Donald "Don" William Haskamp, age 88, longtime resident of Blaine, passed away peacefully at Eden Prairie Senior Living Dec. 17, 2024.
Don was born in Sauk Centre July 31, 1936. He attended high school in Sauk Centre. He served four years in the United States Air Force. Don attended the University of Minnesota and earned an associate's degree. For 30 years, Don was employed with Sperry-Univac/Unisys corporation.
Don and wife Louise were 62-year members of Church of St. Timothy in Blaine. Don enjoyed time with family and relatives. He liked fixing things, maintaining and upgrading the family home. He spent a significant number of his retirement years as a golf ranger at Majestic Oaks Golf Course, where he enjoyed interacting with the golfers. The position also allowed him to spend quality time golfing with his family.
He is preceded in death by his parents; Anthony and Josephine Haskamp; brother Bill Haskamp. Survived by his wife of 62 years, Louise; children, Steve (Lori) and Julie (Andy) Hart; grandchildren, Ryan (Alex), Kyle, Abby Hart (fiance Stephen) and Neil Hart; great-grand daughter Sophie Haskamp. His sister Bev (Haskamp) Laing also survives.
Memorial service will be 11 a.m. Monday Jan. 13, 2025, with visitation starting at 10 a.m. at the Church of St. Timothy, 707 89th Ave. NE, Blaine, MN 55434. Fellowship and luncheon to follow at the church. www.GearhartFuneralHome.com.
