Cecilia "Ceil" Kelley

1922 - 2025

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, Oct. 20, at St. Peter's Catholic Church in St. Cloud for Cecilia "Ceil" Kelley, 103, of St. Cloud who died Oct. 8, 2025, at her home in St. Cloud. The Rev. Jeremy Ploof will officiate and burial will be in the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery near Little Falls. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. with parish prayers at 4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 19, at the Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home in St. Cloud. Visitation will continue one hour prior to services Monday at the church in St. Cloud.

Cecilia was born Aug. 10, 1922, in Ivanhoe to Martin and Catherine (Sik) Burczyk. She married Raymond R. Kelley in January 1941 at St. Mary's Cathedral in St. Cloud. The couple was married for 68 years and lived in Sauk Rapids and St. Cloud. Ceil worked for Armour Poultry Plant in Cold Spring for many years until her retirement. She was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church in St. Cloud.

Ceil and Ray's love of travel included four trips to Alaska, The Grand Old Opry, Elvis' Graceland and Lincoln's boyhood home. She loved telling the story of having fried dill pickles with B.B. King at his Memphis Restaurant. Together, Ceil and Ray walked 5-6 miles daily, regardless of weather. She told many touching stories of her life during the depression and of her life managing as a young mother while her husband was fighting in WWII. Ceil was an independent and spunky woman, who touched the lives of so many people.

She is survived by her children, Robert (Rose) of St. Cloud and John (Patricia) of Spokane, Washington; grandchildren, Michael (Mel) Kelley, Michelle Johnson, Lynette Kelley; and 11 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings; David Burczyk of St. Cloud and Mary Gohman of Sauk Rapids.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband in 2010; twin daughters, Patricia and Pricilla; sons, Roger and Allan Kelley; brothers, Bernard, Walter and Raymund Burczyk; and sisters, Betty Wiesen, Emma Kelley and Lorraine Linn.
