Antonio Arnulfo Francisco Lerma, 47, of Sterling, IL passed away December 27, 2022 at home, following a short illness, surrounded by his family and fiancee Nicole Skrogstad.
Antonio was born December 2, 1975 in Sterling, the son of Arnulfo Rolando Lerma of Sterling and Elizabeth Handel of Rock Falls.
Survivors include his parents Arnulfo Lerma and Elizabeth Handel; his fiance Nicole Skrogstad of Sterling and her daughter, Elyiana Weatherby; four sons, Jakob Lerma of Rock Falls, Dominick Lerma of Rock Falls, Sabastian Lerma of Rock Falls and Stone Antonio Hanney of Utah; three sisters, Kimberly Lerma Weir of Bourbonnais, Tammy Lerma of Sterling and Katrina (Vernon Albee) Lerma Alexander of Dixon; one brother, Ricardo (Ellen) Lerma of CT and one grandson, Kyzaiah Lerma. His "Neiceys" Natikka Stoxstell Lerma, Alexis Rudolph Lerma, Sabrina Harvey-Lerma, Okita Broadnax Lerma, Sethina Broadnax Lerma, and Mercedez Alexander. Nephews Logan Weir and Tristan Lerma.
He was preceded in death by one step-brother, Todd Wagens; his grandfathers Eleuterio Lerma and Vincent Depaul Woods and grandmothers Magdalena Puentes Lerma and Theodora Mary Hoefler
Celebration of life will be held at 3 PM, Friday, January 6, 2023 at Schilling Funeral Home, Sterling with Reverend Irene Lewis Wimbley, officiating. Visitation will be from 1-3PM, prior to services at the funeral home. Dinner and fellowship will follow services at the First Church of the Nazarene, 411 13th Avenue Sterling, IL Hatten Building.
A memorial has been established.
