Chloie V. Flaningam, 14 of Rock Falls died Tuesday July 23, 2024 at her home with her family by her side,
She was born on May 11, 2010 in Sterling the daughter of David T. and Trudie A. (Brunk) Flaningam. Chloie had graduated from Rock Falls Middle School and enjoyed drawing and sculpting with clay.
Survivors include her parents, David and Trudie; her sister Sydnie; her maternal grandmother Barbara Brunk and paternal grandmother Linda Hines.
Cremation will take place and no services will be held at this time. Arrangements entrusted to McDonald Funeral Home & Crematory.

I learned about her death on July 24th. I was so devastated that i felt like i would throw up. I know i don't have as much time with her then others had, i only had 3 years with her but she was my favorite person. I still remember the things we would do together. In the morning while waiting for the bus we used to climb on the rocks, swing on the swings, and run in the field. On the bus to and from school we would listen to Hamilton songs. And in the school we had many adventures. Creating the worm cult, messing around in gym, playing uno at lunch, drawing on our shoes, creating characters when drawing, going to dairy Queen during art club, her playing on my phone while we were waiting for art to start. We were even planning to make a comic be we both agreed it was to much work. While she was gone from school i visited her frequently at her house and talk, play, and craft with her. The last time i spoke to her was on discord, this was about 6 days before her death, she was misspelling most of her words but the last thing she said in that text was "i love you" She sent me hearts in the next text after me saying, "i love you too".
Bye Chloie, i love you so so much, im glad you aren't suffering anymore. I'll see you in the afterlife. <3

when I was her friend, we had lots of memories together for like school we would hang out with each other when we had art class, or the art club and I would watch as she would make clay clowns or a clown mask because she loved clowns but when I was told she passed away I was speechless and rethinking that I never was really able to make more memories after this year of school when we planned to hang out with our friends later after school may she be missed/and forever in our hearts. Me and Chloie were about 9 years old at the time. We made a house out of mini marshmallows and toothpicks at the library together. We were both sticky messes when we finished. We also did other activities at the library together.

During 7th grade Chloie brought a toy microphone to home room and she let me use it in the front of the class to tell stories i wouldn´t have made so many good memories without her. She was the brightest girl ever, she always stayed out of the drama doing her own thing. Praying for everyone!

We tried to get into touch but unfortunately God had other plans. My deepest condolences and Prayers to you all. Me and Chloie were good friends. It breaks my heart learning she passed away. Sorry for your loss.

Chloie was an amazing person she was never rude and was always there for others i was not really close to her but we did have classes together and when in those classes she would make sure everyone was included it´s sad her life was cut short but it´s gods plan and i will pray for her family and friends i give my condolences to them.
