Died: October 15, 2025 in Rockford, IL
PROPHETSTOWN - Dale Wayne Brown, 83, of Prophetstown, died on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, at OSF St. Anthony Medical Center in Rockford.
Dale was born November 25, 1941, in Sterling, the son of Perle and May (Wolf) Brown. He was a proud veteran of the US Navy. Dale was first employed with Rock River Lumber & Grain, and later Self-Help Enterprises for over 30 years. In his younger years, he enjoyed fishing, camping, and taking bus trips with friends.
Survivors include his close friends, Susan Manning, of Sterling, and Gary (Cindy) Sibley, of Prophetstown; his Self-Help family; and his friends at Allure.
Dale was preceded in death by his parents; and one cousin, Joan Brown.
Graveside service will be held at 10:00am on Monday, October 20, 2025, at Riverside Cemetery in Prophetstown.
