Darlene Fay Hansen, 89, of Sterling, died Sunday, April 17, 2022 at Rock River Hospice & Home of Sterling.
Darlene was born on November 11, 1932 in Wayne, NE, the daughter of Evert and Pauline (Paulsen) Larsen. She married Edward Yucus on October 9, 1954 in Sioux City. He preceded her in death on May 21,1978. She later married Charles Hansen on February 12, 1982 in Ohio, IL. He preceded her in death on February 23, 1991. She was a member of St. Anne's in Dixon. Darlene's faith and family were important to her.
Survivors include one daughter, Pamela (Bob) Mattison of Rock Island; two sons, Tom (Colleen) Yucus of Ohio, IL, Keith( Beth) Yucus of Streamwood; one sister, Diana Stieneke of Cherokee, IA; ten grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Delores Rupp; and two brothers, Evert Larsen Jr. and Larry Larsen.
A visitation will take place on Friday, April 22, 2022 from 9:30AM to 10:30AM at Immaculate Conception Church in Ohio, IL. Celebration of the Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:30AM at the Church with Father Thomas Shaw officiating. Burial will take place at St. Mary's Cemetery, Ohio,IL.
