Box 901, Wilton, IA 52778. Friends may leave online condolences at www.cranstonfamilyfuneralhome.com.
David graduated from Fairfield High School in 1984 then attended Indian Hills community college where he studied auto body and farm mechanics. He worked in Automotive business and enjoyed helping his friend Bert with his racecar.
In the 90's David worked for John Deere where he survived a horrible accident that involved an airflight to Iowa City. His miracle recovery amazed the doctors as his scans revealed no brain damage. He also worked for Jefferson County Sheriff Dept Jail, then Douds Stone before accepting a full-time position for Iowa National Guard in 2006.
He was deployed in 1991 to Germany with 224th Engineers then again in 2021 to Kuwait at Camp Buehring, with the 3654 support Maintenance Company. David completed 20 years of service in December 2022.
David was a lifelong Bears fan and Cubs fan. He also love the Hawkeyes, music and farming with his family.
He was a loving, loyal, hardworking man who loved the farm and his military service but if you spent any time with Dave, you realized pretty quickly how much he loved his family. He was quick to volunteer to help fix, build or anything he could do to help.
David started the happiest part of his life when God brought Josie into his life in 2017. They were married on June 15th, 2019. They loved to camp, travel and dance together. Their most precious memories were made when they were surrounded by family.
David was preceded in death by parents, Leonard and Coe Ann Mosinski; a sister-in-law, Jennie Dewey and his in-laws, Leon Full and Sharon Drew.
He is survived by the love of his life, his wife Josie and 3 stepchildren, Jacob (Maria), who are expecting their first child in June, Bryan who is currently in the Air Force, and Mackenzie (Jared) and 2 grandchildren Henry and Penny. He is also survived by his stepfather Jerry Drew from Illinois and stepmother Jean Full of Wisconsin. He will be extremely missed by his siblings, Don (Jennifer), Susan (Randy) and Sharon (Al) along with his nieces and nephews, Sarah (Skyler) Rachel (Carter), Luke, Drew, Aaron, and Blake, as well as many extended family and friends.
