Died: August 28, 2025
Emma J. Bailey, 91 of Sterling died Thursday August 28, 2025 at the Citadel of Sterling.
She was born on December 29, 1933 in Freeport, the daughter of Arthur and Marsha (Martin) Glass. She married Billie Bailey and he preceded her in death. Emma had worked at General Electric in Morrison for nearly 30 years. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Rock Falls.
Survivors include her sons: Mike (Anita) Meier and Kelly (Dee) Meier both of Rock Falls and David (Beth) Meier of Tuscan, AZ; and several grandchildren and great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; nine siblings; daughter Melody Brannon and son Tim Meier.
Graveside services will be held on Thursday September 4, 2025 at 11 AM at Oak Knoll Memorial Park in Sterling with the Reverend Kathy Burkheimer officiating. There will be no public visitation. Arrangements entrusted to McDonald Funeral Home & Crematory.
Memorials may be made to Rock River Hospice & Home and to Happy Tails Shelter.
