MORRISON - Evelyn Marie Stingley, 90, of Morrison, died on November 29, 2024, in Salem, OH.
Evelyn was born October 21, 1934, in Morrison, the daughter of Floyd and Caroline (Planthaber) Wohrley. She married Lee Stingley on September 22, 1951, in Morrison. He preceded her in death on October 3, 2017. Evelyn was employed with General Electric in Morrison for 40 years. She enjoyed flowers, gardening, and reading.
Survivors include one daughter, Marilyn (Ron) Roepke, of Salem, OH; one son, John Stingley, of Rock Falls; one brother, Edward (Carolyn) Wohrley, of Morrison; four grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren.
Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and two brothers, Floyd Wohrley, and Gordon Millerschone.
Cremation rites have been accorded. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 10:00am-12:00pm, on Saturday, January 18, 2025, at McDonald Funeral Home in Rock Falls. A luncheon will be held at the Rock Falls American Legion immediately following. Evelyn's family kindly requests flowers to honor her memory. She had a great love for flowers, and they brought her much joy throughout life.
