Frederick W. Pohl age 84 of Sublette passed away on Saturday Oct. 21, 2023 at Allure of Mendota. He was born on May 28, 1939 in Mendota, IL the son of Albert and Lucille (Stamberger) Pohl. Frederick farmed in Clarion Twp. in Bureau County and worked for FS for over 20 years and then for Hencke Grain and Ag. He enjoyed going to dirt track races all over the midwest with his son and grandsons. Frederick married Karen Waterhouse and she preceded him in death. He then married Roberta Weber on Jan. 20, 1968 in Mendota, IL. Frederick is preceded in death by his parents and brother Rawland Pohl. He is survived by his wife Roberta of Sublette, Children Frederick Pohl Jr. of Sublette, Susan Pohl of Sublette, three grandsons Coleton Pohl, Camryne (Hayley Short) Pohl, and Chanlor Pohl. Funeral services will be on Thursday Oct. 26, 2023 at 7:00 PM at the Mihm-Jones Funeral Home in Amboy. Cremation rites will follow with burial to be at later date at Restland Cemetery in Mendota. Visitation will be on Thurdsay Oct. 26, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Mihm-Jones Funeral Home in Amboy. A memorial has been established to Amboy Jr Tackle Football. Arrangements by the Mihm-Jones Funeral Home in Amboy. Condolences can be left at www.thejonesfh.com.
