Rock Falls – Harry E. Webb, 94, of Sterling, died Saturday, March 6, 2021, at his home.
Harry was born July 5, 1926, in Atlanta, IL, the son of Ivan and Willa (Phillips) Webb.
Harry joined the U.S. Navy in 1944 until his discharge in 1946. He married Winifred Tewell on April 24, 1948 in Dixon. Harry worked at North Western Steel Mill for 33 years until his retirement in 1982. He was a past commander at Rock Falls American Legion and a past Junior Vice Commander of Sterling VFW. Harry was a member of the Forty and Eight, Fraternal Order Of Eagles, and Moose Lodge.
Survivors include his three sons, Bradley Webb of Rock Falls, Mark Webb of Rock Falls, Matt (Rosa) Webb of Sterling; six daughters, Vicki Howell of Frankfort, KY, Nikki Prater of Rock Falls, Merry Mennenoh, Rowena Webb, Michal (David) Fisher of Rock Falls, Traci (Tim) Hodgeson of Rock Falls; 23 grandchildren; 47 great-grandchildren; 13 great-great-grandchildren with 2 on the way.
Harry was preceded in death by his parents; sons, Donald Elhoffer, Ivan Webb, Timothy Webb; daughter, Rebecca Owen; great-grandson, Gage Coon.
Services will take place at 11AM on Thursday, March 11, 2021, at Schilling Funeral Home and Cremation of Sterling with Pastor Roger Carlson of New Hope Baptist Church of Como, officiating. Visitation will take place from 10AM-11AM prior to services at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Oak Knoll Memorial Park in Sterling with Military Rights.
A memorial has been established and may be sent to Schilling Funeral Home P.O. Box 592 Sterling IL 61081, and will be forwarded to family.
