Died: September 16, 2025
Janet K. Taber, 79 of Sterling died Tuesday September 16, 2025 at CGH Medical Center.
She was born October 6, 1945 in Sterling, the daughter of Delbert and Cassie (Stern) Plautz. She married Michael Taber June 3, 1978 in Sterling. Janet had worked at Wahl Clipper in Sterling for 38 years. She was active in the Sterling Family Moose and enjoyed traveling and crafts.
Survivors include her husband, Mike; sons: Randy (Kris) Hawkins and William Taber both of Sterling; sister, Virginia Meier of Prophetstown; grandson Matthew Cramer and great grandson Joseph Hawkins.
Preceded in death by parents and brother Virgil Plautz.
Visitation will be Friday September 19, 2025 from 2-4 PM at the McDonald Funeral Home, 505 1st Avenue Sterling.
