Jody Wayne Murphy age 53 of Dixon, Illinois passed away on Monday, December 4, 2023 at OSF St. Anthony Medical Center in Rockford, Illinois. Jody was born on November 24, 1970 in Dixon, Illinois, the son of Michael and Judy (Nicklaus) Murphy. Jody is survived by his loving wife Sheila of Dixon and their two fur babies, Nala and Chewy. Jody is also survived by his parents Michael and Judy of Dixon, brother Jeff (Peggy) Murphy of Dixon, and sister Heather (Thom) Shore of Sterling. Jody also leaves behind three nephews (Payton, Aidan, and Brandeis), two nieces (Jade and Makayla), and two great nephews (Beau and Wayne). Jody had many interests including music, guitars, fishing, collecting movies, and the list goes on. Jody was truly one of a kind and will be greatly missed. A memorial service will be held at Jones Funeral Home on Sunday, December 10, 2023. Visitation at 1:00 and a service at 2:00. A memorial fund has been established through Jones Funeral Home in Dixon.
