Kenneth Fischbach Obituary

Kenneth Robert Fischbach
Born: September 19, 1933
Died: May 12, 2025
Kenneth Robert Fischbach, at the age of 91, of Ashton, IL, passed away peacefully on May 12, 2025, in Poway, CA.
Born on September 19, 1933, in Sterling, IL, Kenneth was the son of Charles Fischbach and Dorothy McCoy.
Kenneth served in the Navy during the Korean War, and spent 9 years with the Illinois State Police. He ventured into the restaurant business. After that, he had a fulfilling career at Crest Foods in Ashton, IL, where he dedicated many years of service until his retirement in 1999. After retiring, Kenneth and his beloved wife of 71 years, Nancy J. Fischbach, embarked on a new adventure, purchasing a motor home, and spending the next 12 years traveling across the United States and Canada. This nomadic lifestyle allowed Ken and Nancy to explore and experience the beauty of the country they loved. Ken and Nancy settled in Phoenix. His passion included camping, researching camping, and more camping and visiting with his 5 children.
Kenneth is survived by his children, Rene M. Baldwin, Kirk R. Fischbach, Lisa L. Fischbach, and Matthew C. Fischbach; 6 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren. He was a dedicated father and will be deeply missed by his family.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy J Fischbach; his son, Kim A. Fischbach; his parents, Charles and Dorothy Fischbach; his sister, Donna Grater; and his brother, Charles Fischbach.
Kenneth's stubbornness and adventurous spirit touched the lives of all who knew him. He will forever be remembered for his devotion to his family.
May Kenneth Robert Fischbach rest in eternal peace, and may his memory bring comfort and solace to those who knew him.

My condolences to the family for sure, always enjoyed his and Nancy´s presence. My memory goes back to when he "moon lighted" as a truck driver for my Dad. Looks like he lived his dreams! Good for them. Prayers for all.
