Larry F. Foust

1946 - 2024

Larry F. Foust age 78 of Dixon passed away on Tuesday Oct. 29, 2024 at his home. He was born on Sept. 22, 1946 in Ames, Iowa the son of Leo H. and Frances Cecilia (Mernin) Foust. Larry was a claims adjuster for USF&G insurance, St. Paul Insurance and Travelers Insurance prior to retirement. He was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Dixon and was a long time lector. Larry was also a Veteran of the U.S. Army serving in Vietnam, an avid coin collector, a Cubs and Bears Fan, and Newman High School Football follower. He married Jacquelyn Dunphy on Nov. 6, 1971 at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Dixon. Larry is preceded in death by his parents, and brother Terry Foust. He is survived by his wife Jackie, children John (Jennifer) Foust of Dixon, Diana Foust of Dixon, Patrick (Erin) Foust of Glen Ellyn, two grandchildren Caitlin Foust, Brooklyn Foust, three brothers Gary (Jane) Foust of East Moline, Mike (Peggy) Foust of Albuquerque NM, and Leo Foust of Austin TX as well as several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be on Tuesday Nov. 5, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Jones Funeral Home in Dixon with a saying of the rosary at 7:00 PM. Funeral Services will be on Wednesday Nov. 6, 2024 beginning with a 10:00 AM prayer service at the Jones Funeral Home followed by a 10:30 AM Mass of Christian Burial at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Dixon. Burial with military honors will follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Dixon. A luncheon will follow the burial at the Holloway Center next to St. Patrick Catholic Church in Dixon.
