Lester L. Insley, 85, of Sterling died Friday October 24, 2025 at Resthave in Morrison.
He was born on July 13, 1940 in Sterling the son of Sherman and Theda (Schultz) Inlsey. He served in the U.S. Army during the Viet Nam War. He had worked as a machinist at Farm & Track in Tampico for several years. Lester married Juanita Bell on June 19, 1965. She died August 31, 2020.
Survivors include his children: Leslie Insley (Doug Cooper), Kelly (Sean) Dennis and Troy Insley; 7 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife; and granddaughter Brandy Pursell.
A celebration of Lester's life will be held on November 9, 2025 beginning at 2 PM at the Rock Falls Eagles Club. Cremation has taken place.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may directed to the family in care of the McDonald Funeral home, 1002 12th Avenue Rock Falls, IL 61071

Me and Jesse are his friends i was his neighbor for a long time and Me and Jesse have been his friend for a long time we youst to go visit him and listen to music and he loved r company and he liked the music I played . He's in r hearts he loved his drinks cc and coke and I always went checkd on him to see if he needed anything from store he was always happy to see Jesse and me we are always his friend always . We love u lester r friend and we all miss u . May u r.i.p lester he always loved company. Love ur friends always theresa n Jesse. We both were his friends for a long time. We miss u lester so much.

Lester was a gd person and I was his neighbor i youst to go check on him to make sure he was ok i went to store for him and I would go visit him and he like my music i played .we sure miss u are friend lester and ur in r hearts forever we love you.
