Died: August 29, 2025 in Morrison, IL
The family of Marla A. Vos of Morrison is saddened to announce her passing on August 29, 2025 at the age of 60. Marla passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her family. She bravely fought a brief battle with an aggressive brain cancer, known as glioblastoma multiforme.
A visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 PM on Tuesday September 2, 2025 at the Morrison Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home. Her funeral service will be held at 10:30 AM on Wednesday September 3rd, also at the funeral home, with Pastor Sun-Ah of the United Methodist Church officiating. Interment will be in the Grove Hill Cemetery in Morrison. Memorials have been established to Rock River Hospice, Sterling, IL, and St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

I would like to offer my sincere condolences to the family of Marla Vos. Marla and I met in Atlanta many years ago and worked together at Continental (now United) Airlines. Afterwards, my partner and I hired her to run the office of our broadcast advertising agency for around four months. Unfamiliar with the radio and television business, she learned how to run the office so quickly. Like at Continental, Marla´s intelligence and sharp, sassy wit would come in handy as she made that office hum. Marla could bust up an entire room of big tough ramp workers with her legendary sense of humor. I know Marla is very happy with the angels right now, able to see her beloved Dad whom she missed so much.
My best wishes and condolences extend to Marla´s friends and family. What a spark Marla was. We had so much fun together.
