Mary M. McWilliams, 67 of Lyndon died Friday, November 12, 2021, at Rock River Hospice & Home in Sterling, after a courageous struggle with pancreatic cancer.
She was born on April 5, 1954 in Sterling, the daughter of John R. and Charlotte (Blackmore) Hannan. She had worked as a nursing aide; in housekeeping at CGH Medical Center; and as a bus attendant at First Student in Rock Falls.
Survivors include her daughter, Ellen (Bret) Lassiter of Lyndon; her sisters, Faith (Ken) Burgess of Dixon and Cheryl Hannan of Sterling; her brother, Mike (Evie) Hannan of Gilbertville, KY; and her beloved granddaughter, Courtney McWilliams.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her infant sister, Jacklyn Hannan.
Graveside services will be held on Thursday, November 18, 2021 at 1 PM at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Sterling, with Deacon Ken Funk officiating. There will be no visitation. Arrangements by McDonald Funeral Home & Crematory.
