Michael Davis Obituary

Michael Davis II
Born: February 16, 1990 in El Paso, TX
Died: February 6, 2024
Princeton - Michael Patrick Davis II, passed away on Tuesday, February 6, 2024 after a virulent battle against cancer, surrounded by his longtime partner Erika, mother Rosa and daughter Magnolia.
Michael was born in El Paso, Texas to Rosa Humphreys and Michael Davis Jr. He would later receive his diploma and graduated in 2008. He would meet Erika Diaz and fall in love. They lived together and raised their daughter Magnolia. He worked in the construction industry, roofing and lawn care.
He had a love for anything outdoors. From fishing or a game of soccer, even a game of cornhole or five. He surrounded himself with family and friends and sitting still was not an option with Michael. He loved hiking, camping and skateboarding. His love of the outdoors brought him to the craft of woodworking, a hobby he picked up and something that would make him sit still for a few moments, along with laying in the hammock.
Michael was an amazing girl dad. He loved to read and would read to his little love Magnolia, from fantastical stories to a book he was currently reading himself, making it sound like a fairytale to keep her content and interested. He loved spending time with his family. He was a devoted son, father, partner, uncle, brother and friend. He was loved from his family in Mexico, especially his Aunt Adriana Arzate, who was like a second mother to him. He had an endearing smile that would light up a room and you could feel the serenity fill the air.
Surviving Michael is his daughter Magnolia Davis-Diaz of Princeton, Partner Erika Dias of Princeton; his mother Rosa (Ron) Humphreys of Amboy, IL; sister Melissa (Joseph) Green of Rockfalls, IL., Nubia (Nick) Bohms of Chana, IL, Miguel (Valeria) Diaz of Villa Park, IL, Carmen (Pete) Panayiotides of Bolingbrook, IL,: nieces and nephews Piper, Gabriel, Isabel, Zianna, Leya, Isaac, Abigail, Arhabella, Marlei, Daniel, Eva, Emilio and his four dogs.
Preceded by his father Michael Davis, Jr.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to his daughter Magnolia Davis-Diaz.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date and time.
