Our beloved brother, husband, and father Butch (Ralph Henry Loescher) passed away peacefully January 26, 2025 at his home in Minneapolis, Minnesota with his wife Sandy and his 2 Cavalier Spaniels by his side.
He suffered from Parkinson's Disease for ten years and was a cancer survivor.
He was born in Dixon, IL on December 30, 1947 to Donna (Hartman) Loescher and Edgar C. Loescher who preceded him in death along with one brother Richard Loescher. He is survived by his wife Sandy of Minneapolis, 2 sisters and 3 brothers: Jeanette (Orville) Paschke of Picayune, Miss, Tedra (Gary) Maves of Davidson, N.C., Dennis (Charlene) Loescher of Franklin Grove, Il, Dean (Linda) Loescher and Carl Loescher of Dixon, Il.
Our beloved brother is also survived by his 4 children; Scott (Dawn) Loescher of Sedro-Wooley, Washington, Betsy (Lathe) Rowles of Brier Washington, Lori Loescher of Maple Valley, Washington, and Ken (Kristen) Loescher of Stafford, Virginia and their mother Lila (Christensen) Loescher of Mt. Morris, Illinois. He was also blessed to have known 13 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
He attended Dixon schools and graduated DHS in 1966. While he was in high school he became very involved in Ham Radio as his hobby. He was awarded the American Legion Achievement Award in eighth grade and many more accomplishments.
After graduation he attended the Milwaukee School of Engineering. While living in Seattle and raising his family, he worked for Sharp Corporation and became very involved in his church.
We all will remember him as the Mr. Fix it person who also loved woodworking and had a quick wit with a dry sense of humor.
Our brother, husband, father and grandfather was a very kind and thoughtful man. He will be greatly missed by his loving family and friends. Cremation rites have been accorded in Minnesota with a private family gathering to held at a later date.
