Born: September 1, 1953 in Aurora, IL
Died: May 6, 2022 in Rockford, IL
Randall Jon Bartelt age 68 of Amboy, IL died Friday May 6, 2022 at Mercy Health Jevan Bea Hospital in Rockford. He was born September 1, 1953 in Aurora, IL the son of Richard and Dorothy (Brown) Bartelt. He married Marty Kant on Nov. 4, 1979 in Dixon. Randall was employed by the Lee County Highway Department. He was a member of Bethel EC Church in Dixon and had volunteered at the Leydig Center.
Randall enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, traveling with his wife, serving others in need and had a strong faith in the Lord.
He is survived by his wife Marty, children Phil (Lisa) of Lancaster, PA, Cassie (Jon) Barnett of Omro, WI, Zach (Charlotte) of Clinton, WI and five grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Jodi Runowski.
Memorial service will be held on Thursday May 12, 2022 at 6:00 PM at the Bethel EC Church in Dixon. Visitation will be Thursday from 4:00 to 6:00 PM at the church. A time of fellowship with refreshments will follow the service at the church. In lieu of flowers memorials have been established to the Granny Rose Animal Shelter and Rock River Bible Camp. Arrangements by the Mihm-Jones Funeral Home in Amboy. Online condolences can be left at www.thejonesfh.com
