Died: September 15, 2023
Randy J. Spotts, 70 of rural Nelson died Friday September 15, 2023 at his home.
He was born on November 1, 1952 in Sterling, the son of Jordan and Helen (Jolly) Spotts. He married Christine A. Schrader on August 2, 1975. Randy had been the owner/operator of Spotts Septic and had also worked at Dixon Direct Printing in Dixon. He loved spending time at Moonlight Bay, going to Al Stewart concerts, his beloved dogs and was a devout Indianapolis Colts fan.
Survivors include his wife, Christine; daughters: Christina Spotts and Jaime (Colby) Vos; his grandchildren: Maranda Haan, Isabell Maloney, Jacoby Vos and Layla Vos; and many cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Timothy Spotts.
Visitation will be Thursday September 21, 2023 from 9 -11 AM at Harvest Time Bible Church in Rock Falls, with the services to follow at 11 AM. Burial will conclude at Nelson Cemetery. A luncheon will follow. Arrangements entrusted to McDonald Funeral Home & Crematory.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the family.
