Born: May 8, 1952 in Savanna, IL
Died: September 15, 2025 in Rock Falls, IL
Roberta Cora (Paisley) Diaz, 73, of Rock Falls, IL, passed away on August 15, 2025. Roberta was born May 8, 1952, to Wyman and Marian (Allen) Paisley. She married Salvador Diaz on December 27, 1969. She had three sons, Scott Kassel, Kenneth Diaz, & Mark Diaz.
She is survived by her sons, Scott and Mark of Santa Barbara, CA, & siblings, Jerry, Rick, and Clint. Additionally, daughter-in-law, Danielle, sisters-in-law, Concha (Randy) Sitter, Lupe (Eric) Larson, Gail Carrillo & Mary Carrillo; grandchildren, Ashley McCart, Jeff Kassel, & Kerrie Diaz; as well as great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, & cousins.
Preceded in death by her parents, loving husband, Salvador; son, Kenneth Diaz; sister, Gail Noltz; her father-in-law/mother-in-law Rodolfo and Dolores (Lola) Carrillo; step brothers-in-law, John Carrillo & Lino Carrillo; and Rufina Diaz.
A gathering of friends and family will take place on Saturday, September 13, 2025 from 10 – 10:30 AM at the McDonald Funeral Home, 505 1st Avenue in Sterling. The memorial service will follow at 10:30 AM with the Reverend Dalmus Meeks officiating. Burial will conclude at Calvary Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established.

So sad to hear this. I pray for the family and may she rest in peace. I remember Roberta when she met Salvador and they lived near sterling high school.
