Shirley Elaine Booth, 69, of Rock Falls Illinois passed away peacefully on November 29, 2022 with family at her side, after a long battle with multiple
health issues.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Ken and Carol Norman, her son, T.J. and her sister, Nancy Lopes. She is survived by her loving and devoted son, Jimmy and her brothers, Randy, Ken and Bob Norman and many
nieces and nephews.
Shirley was born October 4, 1953 in DeKalb, Illinois and raised in Fulton, Illinois where she graduated high school. She was a determined hard worker, fiercely
independent and dedicated to her family. She loved music, especially the Beatles and enjoyed keeping up on all the goings-on with friends and family.
One of the most generous people you could meet, she is someone who as a child went out into the rain to give an umbrella to someone who didn't have one.
Shirley faced many challenges and adversities with unwavering determination and never gave up, even when some suggested she should. Her strong will was wonderful if sometimes exasperating for her parents, siblings and friends to witness. If success is measured by unflinching persistence without regard for prevailing headwinds, there is no better example than Shirley.
You've done well Shirley. We are proud of you!
