Stanley P. Ferris age 74 of Dixon died on Saturday Oct. 30, 2021 at CGH Medical Center in Sterling. He was born on Jan 28, 1947 in Dixon, IL the son of Henry and Eva (Paschel) Ferris. Stanley worked at Freeman Shoe Co. the Dixon State School, Jepscor Metals, and Village of Progress prior to his retirement. He was also a member of the Dixon Moose Club.
Stanley married Shelby Schultheis on June 24, 1969 in Dixon, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers Leo Fredericks, Harold Fredericks and 1 sister Violet Madison. Stanley is survived by his wife Shelby, children Eva Smith of Dixon, Eugene Ferris of Dixon, 4 grandchildren Misty Smith, Ben Smith, Jessica Ferris, Emma Ferris, and 1 sister Beverly Sofolo. Visitation will be on Friday Nov. 5, 2021 from 3:00 PM to 7 PM at the Jones Funeral Home in Dixon. Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM on Saturday Nov 6, 2021 at the Jones Funeral Home in Dixon. Burial of cremains will be at a later date at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. A memorial in Stanley's memory has been established. Online condolences can be left at www.thejonesfh.com
