Died: August 23, 2024 in Sterling, IL
STERLING – Steven Grobe, age 73, died Friday, August 23, 2024 at CGH Medical Center in Sterling.
Steven was born on June 15, 1951 in Dixon the son of Virginia (Morris) Grobe. He married Tresa Manning on November 4, 1970 in Sterling. Steven was employed as an Electrician with Northwestern Steel & Wire Company in Sterling. Steven was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing. He served his country in the United States Army.
Survivors include, wife Tresa of Sterling; two sons, Shane (Jodi) Grobe and Brad (Bobbi) Grobe both of Sterling; three sisters, Debra Lief of Rock Falls, Susan Manning and Diane (Evan) Diedrich both of Sterling; one brother, Douglas (Edwardene) Grobe of Thomson; two grandchildren, Cheyenne (Austin) Blackburn and Alexsandra Grobe; two great grandchildren, Ellie and Jack Blackburn.
He was preceded by his mother; three brothers -in-law; one sister-in-law.
Graveside services will be held 11:00 AM Friday, August 30, 2024 at Coloma Township Cemetery in Rock Falls with Pastor Dalmus Meeks officiating. Arrangements were completed by McDonald Funeral Homes, Rock Falls.
