I recognized Tom's car - as he was always out and about. Even now when I see a white car like his - I think of Tom, and say a prayer for his eternal repose. It was my honor as a Catholic priest - to pray his Memorial Mass - that the Eucharist could be celebrated one last time before Thomas went to his judgment. The Church of Sublette loves you, Tom!

Tom loved to serve the Mass. He couldn't understand how our young people wouldn't jump at the opportunity to be so close to our Lord in the Sanctuary. When Tom's mobility started to cause him troubles, he told me that he would purposefully sit in the transept of the Church (as close to the altar as he could) and pretend that he was serving the Mass. Everyone knew how deeply he had fallen in love with his wife, and he made it a point to say something to men, whom Tom didn't think loved their own wives as much as they should. Tom had a wonderful sense of humor and he treasured the friendships God had given him.
