William M. "Bill" Schalck age 57 of Dixon died on Sunday Feb. 26, 2023 at his home. He was born on Nov. 20, 1965 in Waukegan, IL the son of William A. and Gretchen (Gissibl) Schalck. Bill was a Computer Programmer and Analyst for CDW in Vernon Hills for many years and also for Ensono for 5 years. He was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Amboy, and the Knights of Columbus. Bill married Allison Raczkiewicz on July 1, 1989 in Round Lake, IL. He was preceded in death by his father William. Bill is survived by his wife Allison, daughter Marisel Schalck, mother Gretchen (Franz) Krane, and one brother S. Peter (Kris) Schalck. Funeral services will be on Friday March 3, 2023 with a short prayer service at 10:00 AM at the Mihm-Jones Funeral Home in Amboy and Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Amboy. Burial will follow at St. Patrick Cemetery in Amboy. Visitation will be on Thursday March 2, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM with a scripture service at 7:30 PM at the Mihm-Jones Funeral Home in Amboy. Memorials can be made to the St Patrick Catholic Church Amboy Steeple Restoration Fund 32 N Jones Amboy, IL 61310. Online condolences can be left at www.thejonesfh.com.

Our family was saddened to learn about the passing of Bill. He was so kind and friendly. I have fond memories of him from FOP and how helpful he was with the sound and video, and setting up and tearing down the equipment. We are sorry for your loss. Bill will be missed very much.
