Died: July 30, 2024 in Sterling, IL
William E. Scott, age 94, of Sterling, died Tuesday, July 30, 2024 at Morningside of Sterling.
William was born September 15, 1929 in Neponset, the son of Sir Walter and Grace (Bumphrey) Scott. He married Viola Hutt on September 15, 1962. She preceded him in death on November 30, 1985. William was employed as an I.B.E.W. Journeyman Lineman at Hooper Construction Company in Madison.
He is survived by one son, William E. Scott of Rock Falls; five grandchildren; and several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife; parents; one son, Dan O. Scott; two sisters; and three brothers.
Cremation rites will be accorded. Per his request, there are no services.

So sorry to read about the death of Scottie! We got to know him at Cardiac rehab and I would walk the treadmill next to him and we´d talk. I temper when he sold his house. He as fun to talk to and a good man!
