Anna Stelljes Obituary

Bluffton, SC - Anna Stelljes nee Anni Catherine Donselmann-Theile, 93, widow of John Henry Martin Stelljes, Jr., died Sunday, November 23, 2003 at home on Myrtle Island. She was born December 21, 1909 in Donsel, Germany, she married her late husband in 1931. They immigrated to the United States where they worked together for 43 years at their business, Stelljes Jewelers in Savannah, GA. They retired in 1983 and moved permanently to Myrtle Island, which is where their summer home had been since 1944. Survivors include: her son, J.H. Martin Stelljes, III, and his wife Elizabeth Leggett Stelljes of North Palm Beach, FL, and Bluffton, SC; daughter, Annelore and her husband, George Harrell of Bluffton, SC; grandchildren, Tamela Harrell, Anne Elizabeth H. Stacks (David), Melanie H. Graham (Donald), Andrew Harrell (Debra), Helen Elizabeth Stelljes, Janet S. Fisher (Leonard), Lynn S. Dotterweich (David); great-grandchildren, Adam Pinckney, Claire Pinckney, Matthew Stacks, Daniel Stacks, Anders Graham, Anna Catherine Graham, Sydney Harrell, Drew Harrell, Alissa Fisher, Jeremy Fisher, Andrew Dotterweich, David Dotterweich, Rebecca Dotterweich, Sarah Dotterweich; great- great-grandchild, Taylor Pinckney; nephew, Heinrich Donselmann-Theile of Diepholz, Germany; niece, Anneliese Graf of Bremen, Germany. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 25, 2003 at The Church Of The Cross Episcopal Church in Bluffton, SC, with burial in the Bluffton Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00, Monday, November 24, 2003 at Sauls Funeral Home in Bluffton, SC. Memorials may be sent to The Church Of The Cross, P.O.
