during highschool, dean would pick me up and take me to savannah high, I did this instead of catching a cab, he always teased me that he was not going to school that day, but he would still drop me off, lately I had a business downtown, he visited until we closed, yes I too will miss him , the pier will not ever be the same, I was there on Sunday and felt the loss even now. He always teasedwith me and I am so sorry to find out that he is not with us anymore. sincerely Latrelle Kitzmiller

May God Bless Dean's family, my father Ed Burnsed grew up with Dean and have told me some great stories of them growing up together that made me laugh til I couldn't laugh anymore. Dean always treated me with respect when I would see him here on Tybee. Tybee has lost a great treasure.

Dean was one of Tybee's good guys, a list that grows far too short with the passage of time and folks like Dean, who always had a welcoming smile, kind words, unflagging optimism and a helping hand for everyone. He will be missed--and our island will be diminished by his passing. --J.R.

Dean Morrison...
A name that all on Tybee and those he touched will always remember...
To all the family you are in my prayers. I pray that the lord our god hold you in the palms of his hands and guide you through your loss.
Dean always would ask me "you reckon our dads would be proud of our accomplishments"? I guess he will be the first of us to know the answer!
Rest In Peace to a dear friend.

Dean's fun spirit will always be present on the Tybee Pier and Pavilion. I will always enjoy memories of Dean's laugh, the twinkle in his eyes as he spoke of his next business venture and the joy in his heart when he spoke of his wife, children and grand children! A dear friend who made a positive impact on our Island. He will be greatly missed! Sincere condolences to his friends and beloved family.

Dean always had a way of putting a smile on everyones face that had the pleasure of meeting him. He was such an inspiration for me. He taught me that if you put "alot" of hard work into your dreams nothing can hold you back...he also taught me there really are people that win on slot machines...He will never be forgotten.

Dean was a true Tybee treasure and he will be terribly missed. He was always one of the nicest people and went above and beyond to help, especially when it came to raising money for a non profit to help others. I will so miss seeing him on the pier as it was always a delight to run into him to see that twinkle in his eye...and talk about a hard worker, I wish I could be as energized and passionate as he always seemed to be. My sister and I walked up to the pier last night and it seemed so empty knowing that his spirit and zest for life would not be filling it up there anymore. That place will never feel the same.
