Carolyn was precious, compassionate, and a loyal friend. I will miss her,and never forget the wonderful person that she was. Our hearts are broken and our circle is now smaller but her goodness and kindness will remain with us forever. God has claimed his own.She was a jewel on earth and now she is wearing her heavenly crown. I mourn with you and for you.

To My Family, Words cannot express the emotions we feel at this time in the passing of Carolyn. She will always be remembered for her love of family and friends. Even though she was unable to attend the last family reunions her heart was there with us in Virginia and Statesboro. Our last conversation was about memories of various family events and how we always seem to pull together because we were family. I know that I could call on her at anytime for anything and I thank God for placing Carolyn in our family. We will miss you but we know that all is well with you now as you rest in the Lord awaiting that trumpet sound.

Carolyn and I met in First grade at Paulsen Elem. and graduated from A.E. Beach High School class of 1954. Even though we did not always keep in touch I knew we were forever friends.

Fifty two years ago, I met my husband at Carolyn's home. In September, I called her to tell her we were in the area celebrating our 50th Wedding Anniversary. We chatted and laughed about the old times and the night I met Bob at her home. She invited us to come by but because of weather conditions we were unable to visit with her.

The last time I saw her was a brief visit to her home with my youngest sister Laura, who was a coworker of hers. It was clear to me that her health was declining at that time.

I will forever cherish the memories of the the great times we shared. My classmate, friend, and Soror.

Where do I start, Mrs. Gantt was my first grade teacher and I loved her. She was always smiling and quick to laugh. She was beautiful both inside and out and so very smart. She always stood up for her students and was so encouraging each day. Like many others, she was the teacher that I came back years later to see just because she had made such an impression on me. I thank God that he blessed me with her as my teacher all those years ago, because she truly was a wonderful teacher. She will be missed. So sorry for your loss, your family will be in my thoughts and prayers.

To the entire Gantt family. You have our deepest sympathy in the lost of Carolyn, who was dear friend, sorority sister, classmate, and Godmother to my daughter, Katrina Wright. Carolyn was always a loving and caring person, who will be remembered for her wonderful personality and generosity. Even though over the years, we were not in close contact with each other, we were always delighted to see each other, and could very easily reminisce over our good times in the past. We will cherish her memory forever. Please know that our thoughts and prayers are with you in this most devasting time.

Sincerely and with love,
The Wrights (Shirley and Katrina)
