When I first met Cassandra, I knew she was filled with great talent. She was a kind, sweet, oh-so pleasant, and spiritual young woman. She had skills to improve any department of or in the library. When she worked, she put her all into it. She was wonderful! The children adored her, and the parents truly loved her because their children wanted to sit and listen to stories played and acted out by Miss Cassandra Lamar!! It was standing room only at the Oglethorpe Mall Library (branch of the Live Oak Public Libraries) in Savannah, GA! Staff as well as customers (patrons) loved her, and missed her as she made her career move to Alpharetta, GA. She is missed by so many now that it cannot be expressed, but we will never forget her. I pray for peace and comfort for familiy and friends.

I met Cassandra at the Alpharetta Library and was instantly affected by her professioanlism and her kindness. She worked with a group of us to help us form our Scrpbooking club and opened up new horizons for us.
I am shocked by her sudden passing and am missing her terribly. I pray that God will soon comfort her family, friends, and co-workers who mourn her.
Rest in peace, Cassandra, and we will see each other again in the sweet bye and bye.

As you well know the passing of time can never really heal a broken heart but, WE GO ON...because we have too, because our loved ones would want us to...WE GO ON.
And after the passing of time we smile again at the thought of pleasant memories of days gone by....WE GO ON.
We are guided by the light that our loved ones showered upon us. We are better for having known her. We count ourselves as privileged to have worked with her and we are longing for the day that we see her beautiful smiling face again.

1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 (NIV)
Believers Who Have Died
13 Brothers and sisters, we do not want you to be uninformed about those who sleep in death, so that you do not grieve like the rest of mankind, who have no hope. 14 For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him. 15 According to the Lord's word, we tell you that we who are still alive, who are left until the coming of the Lord, will certainly not precede those who have fallen asleep. 16 For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. 17 After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever. 18 Therefore encourage one another with these words.
Lady Cassandra was loved and respected by all that knew her, what a blessing and legacy! Rest in God's bosom and be assured that your mornings will seem empty but joy will come in the mornings and you shall see Lady Cassandra again!!!
May the Lord Jesus, family and friends comfort, love and support you during the terrible loss of Lady Cassandra. I will continue to pray for your families.

To the Family of Cassandra Lamar,
From the time that I was in elementary school and needed to search for books at the local library, Cassandra was there to help and assist me. Over the years, she remained a constant reminder of the dignity, beauty, and kind spirit that women of God should display on a daily basis. My mother and I saw Cassandra several months ago at the Macon Mall, and we stood and talked to her for quite some time. I truly believe in my heart that to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord, and I know assuredly that Cassandra is at home with the God.
May the God strenghten your family during this time.

I had the great privilege to get to know Cassandra over the past 10 months while she was at the Alpharetta Library. I am on the Friends' Board and spend many hours at the library processing donated books for us to sell. Cassandra always brightened up my day and we spent many hours talking about Macon (my husband & I both graduated from Mercer and lived in Macon for a while afterwards). She will be greatly missed by our Board and our patrons. She brought our Library back to life with her presence. My prayers are with her family and friends at this time.
