I met Mr. and Mrs. Brown many years ago, when my uncle, John Stephen Baerst, married Allison Brown. The graciousness and elegance of Mr. and Mrs. Brown were so apparent to me, though I was only nine years old. My condolences to Mrs. Brown; Allison; Marty and Sarah Kane and their husbands; and Mr. Brown's grandchildren, including my cousins Virginia and Benedict; as they mourn the loss of such a lovely man who lived such a distinguished life. Dear Martha, Allison, Marti, and Sarah Kane,
Ted and I were so saddened to hear the news about Ed when Gloria, E. Orange St. neighbor, called. We have kept him, and all of you, in our prayers and will continue. He was a true gentleman and friend for so many years; we will treasure our memories of him and all of you with great fondness.
With much love,
