I met Mr. and Mrs. Brown many years ago, when my uncle, John Stephen Baerst, married Allison Brown. The graciousness and elegance of Mr. and Mrs. Brown were so apparent to me, though I was only nine years old. My condolences to Mrs. Brown; Allison; Marty and Sarah Kane and their husbands; and Mr. Brown's grandchildren, including my cousins Virginia and Benedict; as they mourn the loss of such a lovely man who lived such a distinguished life.
